Here is the General set up for an RPG, I won't be too picky unless things get confusing Below that is an example filled in, taken from an old Gaia rp that I had.

This is where you lay out the Basics of your RP, such as what the Rating will be, whether or not dice, coins, and/or stats will be used in the role play or if it will be purely text based, who the creator and thus moderator of the RP is, etc, and any other information you feel to be important. RPG's that are listed as Open can be joined by anyone at any time. Closed RPG's are not open to new characters. Invite Only means the Creator/Moderator must invite you to join the RP. Rating follows the ESRB Gaming Guidelines.

This is where you set up the story you are role playing and give any background information that the players are going to need.

Example:

After Link defeats Ganon, and helps the Sages seal him away in the sacred realm, there is much work left to be done in Hyrule. Many monsters still roam the land, endangering the populace. The once thriving Hyrule Castle Town has been in ruin for years, and Kakariko Village nearly burned to the ground only a short time ago. Despite all of this, the dark pallor has been lifted from the land with Ganondorf's defeat. Link and his friends plan to help rebuild Kakariko Village, Hyrule Castle Town, and Hyrule Castle itself. Zelda's younger brother, Mikel, is placed on the throne since Zelda is a Sage, and Link is made Leader of the Royal Guard. Everything seems to be returning to normal. But, none of them know of the young Gerudo man, Ganondorf's son, being raised in the desert. Young Kelas vows to seek revenge against the Hero of Time and his friends, to free his Father, and to rule the world with him.

If you have any specific rules you want followed on your RP, here is the place to make sure they are listed for everyone to see. (Don't forget that these happen to be rules I used with the Gaia website, so some are not applicable).

Example:

1. No God-Modding/Power-Playing, unless it is one of the characters I am setting aside for everyone to play as needed.
2. If Gaia says it's a rule, it is a rule.
3. PM all profiles to me, and please do not begin role play on here until I have accepted you.
4. Please include a link to a picture of your character if you can.
5. Please try to write at least one paragraph per post. Descriptive words are encouraged, paint a picture with your words if you can. Also please try to make your post pretty by using all the wonderful features at your disposal, most especially colored text and a small picture.
6. I suggest subscribing to this post, it helps you remember to reply when you log in to gaia.
7. Only one of the original characters may be played by one person, and there can't be two of any character, such as Link or Malon.
8. You may make as many characters as you want, just make sure you manage to keep up with them.
9. Stay inside of Hyrule, unless I decide to state otherwise at a further time.
10. Characters from Majora's Mask MAY enter into Hyrule, but please remember that certain characters, or really, many characters, were in both games, such as Anju from MM and the Cucco Girl from OoT, or Romani and Malon, were the same character. Be mindful of this, and if one is already being played, change up the name and the description for the other one slightly if you want to play them.
11. I reserve the right to kick anyone off who's not following the rules. I will gently warn you on a poat first, PM you a stronger warning if neccesary, suspend you if you still don't listen, and boot you off if you continue to be a problem. I will usually follow this order, but I don't have to.
12. I can change the rules or add rules whenever I want to, so please read them often to see if anything has been changed or added.

This is a list of characters who will be involved with this RP. This is not where their profiles go, however, just a list of their names. Profiles belong under 'Joining Land of Lamavia'.

This is where you describe the layout of any cities you may be creating for your Role Play, what Kingdom the city is part of, and where it is located within the Kingdom.

Example:

Hyrule is located in the north-eastern part of Aquilos, in the Hylia Provinence. There is a small desert, lake, forest, and mountain range there, and Hyrule is almost like a tiny seperate Kingdom.
